Several good guns for that amount.
SKB 585, Browning (as stated above), Beretta 686 or 687, I have seen several of the new Winchester "Synergy" (?) on the skeet range and they appear to have good balance and be well made.

See if you like a "cast" stock with the Beretta, or an adjustable length trigger with the Browning and this will give you a start as to what is important to you. The comfort and balance are different for each person and you want comfort. $1500 is enough to buy a good gun unless you want "fancy"

This is fun, take your time and find what you like, not what we like.

The local Bass Peo only has the Citori 525 Field, they cannot get the Citori XS. Is the 525 field a good gun?

I don't think I've ever seen a bad Citori. If you were looking at a Cynergy, that would be another matter.

I have seen a few guys shoot skeet with a 525 field with extended vented chokes in a skeet choke. In addition to shooting skeet well it also is a great gun for many other funtions.

    I am 5'10'' and weigh 195 pounds.

They have a Beretta 686 for $2,300, would this be a better buy?

Sorry Trap55, I was thinking of the new Select Energy from Winchester.

$2300 sounds high for a 686 unless it's fancy, I see them for $1500-1700. Again, go for what you like and feels good, that's always the best buy (I'm as frugal as they come, but I've found you won't shoot it if you don't like it or it doesn't fit).

What are they asking for the 525?
