nightforce and kimber
I recently purchased a Kimber Longmaster Classic and a Nightforce 3.5-15x56 scope and I'm having problems finding rings high enough to accomodate the large objective due to the fact Kimber has forced people to buy their bases. The only thing I have sort of found to work are Redfield extra high rings, but the halves fit incredibly poorly. Any ideas?

Contact Kimber ... for enough $$$ they should fix you up.

Nightforce sells rings and bases for their scopes, Call them and tell them what you have. If they carry bases that fit Kimber they will set you up with the correct height size. THERE NOT CHEAP in price, but very high quality.

are the bases cross slot? if so,..many of the tactical 30mm high and extra high rings are made to clear those objectives on heavy barrels,..so give them a try. Warne and leupy PRW might be worth a look. I can clear the barrel with mine using warne bases and 30mm high PRW's or Warne's with a 1.25" barrel dia.

You have a lot of good stuff there, so use a equally good set of rings.
Burris 30mm Signature rings are in my opinion the best of the all.......
They do not leave marks on the main scope tube, and hold very tight.
Plus with the offset inserts you can dial in the scope at the exact center in most cases, or use them for longer distances when you run out of elevation.
Signature 30mm Z-rings Extra high for slotted bases, and 30mm Double dovetail rings
for the turn in type bases..I was never to keen on the windage adjustable bases, and rings. Just my opinion is all.
