nazi helmet

I picked up a 1940 single decal (luftwaffe) nazi helmet at a local show yesterday (package deal w/knife/flag/etc...). It is in fair shape but missing the leather liner. Does anybody know what these helmets go for?

    You might check with your local chapter of the Hell's Angels. That's the last organization to utilize them as a uniform item.

    depednds on the shell size. Most of them have a number stamped on the inside. A mojaority of them are from 60-64cm, but if you have one of the larger 68 or even 70cm shells they can go for much more. I have seen some of 70s go for upwards of 150-300 dollars since they made up less then 10% of total production. The feact that it is a luftwaffe helmet makes it rarer yet. So if it is a size 58-64 I would say 100 bucks, but it would be much more for the larger size. Reinactors today have atleast a size 64 size head and most are 68 or 70, so they are in higher demand and since there is a smaller supply, they are much more valuable. I would throw it on an auction. They get pretty nuts on ebay. I have seen size 70 army helmets go for 400.
