bronz brush

Your brush will serve you quite a while as long as you don't use it for a smaller caliber, and don't reverse the direction of the brush while it is in the bore. When you use patches to apply the solvent to the bore, and maybe allow a short soak before running the brush through, the brush is not exposed to it for a long time.

Hoppes is a 'rather mild old time favorite', but it does what it was made to do (Most of us just like the aroma therapy it provides). Be sure a pour a small amount of solvent in a container to 'dip' your brush in. If you just dip it in the Hoppes bottle, you contaminate the whole bottle.

There are stronger solvents designed for other things, but your brush should not be in contact with them long enough to ruin it right away. Most folks 'rinse' the brush before storing it away for later use. (I hose them down with WD, although I have no particular reason to use that product.....it is just nearby)

The bronze brush is cheaper than the ammo you shot, and just another expendable item to maintain your firearms. Enjoy

If we do not hang together,
We will most certainly hang separately.
