Savage Arms 1908 .22 Magazine/Clip
I have three Savage Arms Company Patent of April 28, 1908 .22 S.L. & L.R. clips. Two are marked as just described and the third does not have the patent date. Instead, the third says in the same spot "Utica, NY" as the location of the company. They are of a straight design and are deeply grooved with two almost full length top to bottom grooves on each side and a much shorter third groove. Overall magazine/clip length is 2.5 inches by 1.25 inches across and 3/8ths of an inch thick with one squared end and one rounded end. I can find no reference to this type of clip anywhere on the Internet, and was wondering if anyone can tell me what semi-automatic firearm they were designed to fit, round capacity and what their value might be. In other words, are they rare and highly desired collectibles? And yes, I do have a photograph to email, if it is needed for identification. Thanks for any assistance in this matter!

They sound to be for the Savage Model 1909 .22 S,L&LR T/D repeater rifles, which were the earlier clip-load versions of the Model 29 A&B tube-load repeaters.
If my memory is correct, mine held either 6 or 7 rounds.
There is a receiver half, with butt stock and clip, pictured on ???-bay under Item #7117404455.
The clips would be worth about $30 - $40 where I live in western Canada, as there are still a few rifles around.0 -
These are mags for the Savage 1903 and 1909 Pump 22 rifle. They will also fit the 1912 Savage semi auto rifle. Although the real 1912 will be marked Automatic rifle. If you are selling email me. rogermcafee@msn.com 0
