    Try these guys, Richards Mocrofit.

You have to put the finish on the stock.

Yes there are lots, but the question you have to answer is how much work are you willing to do? If the answer is lots, then you can have the most amazing custom piece of wood you want to shell out the cash for. If the answer is very little then you are probably talking about a synthetic stock from someone like Choate or Bell & Carlson, Hogue and the like. If you personal work level is minamal then I'd try www.boydboys.com and check out the JRS classic they make that is a drop in for your rifle, you can probaly get one with a military step barrel inletting.

Maybe I just got an unusual stock from Boyd's, but the last one I got was suppose to be drop in fit and it was far from it. Had to square it up to get it straight(bedding that is). I ended up glass bedding it for good measure. I think the next stock I try will be a Richards Micro Fit, the last one I saw was very well made with very little wood left to remove. I'm getting tired of paying for drop in fit stocks that have a ton of wood left to be removed. That Richards stock that I was impressed with was on a Swede 38 in a gun shopwith a rather decent price on it. I would have bought it except the whoever had it customized put a very good looking stock on it(the Richards), really nice blue job and had the bolt converted for scope use and added a low scope safety. But left the original barrel on it which was not in very good condition.
