1903 colt help
I have a 1903 pocket hammerless colt 32 automatic. When I insert a loaded clip and chamber the first round everything works fine. If I attempt to pull back the slide to eject the unfired round it doesn't come out of the barrell. I haven't had a chance to fire the gun yet, but I wondered if anyone had any advice about this problem.

Assuming the chamber is clean and you are using the correct ammo...has to be a broken extractor.

Can an ignorant beginner like me tell if the extractor is broken? 0 -
The extractor should grasp the rim of the case. It should fully seat in the groove as the slide is pulled back extracting the case. If it slips off then the lip of the extractor is either broken or worn. If you are really unfamiliar with this pistol, I think a trip to a gunshop is in order...good luck!!

yeah, i've seen that site, but never could find any dissasembaly directions for the slide. The ones on there are for the lower internals. 0 -
You take the slide off and drive the pin out from the top. Thats what I do... 0 -
Hang fire could be onto something. I collect the model 1903 Colt Pocket Auto's and have several in each caliber.
Is it possible that you got a hold of some 32 rimless ammo? If not, then the extractor would be your problem.
