I have a Winchester Model 12 16 gauge, I believe the barrel is 28 inches if I measured it correctly. The serial # is 1612191. On the barrel it is engraved Winchester Model 12-16 GA - 2 3/4 cham. Winchester proof steel. MOD. Does anyone have an idea as to the value of this gun? It is a nice gun. My grandfather gave it to me about 20 years ago and I have only shot it twice. In it's lifetime it probably hasn't been shot more than a couple of dozen times.

    Thanks,
    Jason Harvey

Good evening Jake! Well your gun was made in 1955 according to Riffle, he wrote the "Greatest Hamerless Repeating Shotgun Ever Built". Value is kind of hard to pin point an exact dollar fugure. But based on your description, hardly used, it could go for as little as $500. to as high as $800. or more, if it's as nice as you say it is. During this time frame Winchester only made 26 or 28 inch barrels so you measured it correctly. Regards Dave
