doafab here the weapon is a 22/250 with the only markings being the caliber and the name H. Wakeman, a smooth oversized Monte Carlo stock and it is extremely accurate. Any help would be very appreciated, thank you

The information you provide leaves little to work with, but I think a few things can be said. H.Wakeman rings no bells with me, neither does it show in any of my books. I can only assume this is the name of a gunsmith that customized a bolt action rifle. The quality of these rifles runs the full range from comical to truley custom. Since yours is at least accurate he must have done a good bbl job. Top of the line custom jobs usually have highly figured wood and checkered. You didn't say, or describe the mfg of the action or if it was tapped and drilled for a scope. As nice as some of these look, getting much value from them is questionable...no one wants to pay much for an unknown.

The best buy's on Rifle's are custom's, Most people are afraid of them, I will buy them all day long (IF I CAN SHOOT THEM FIRST)[:D] If the seller wont let you shoot them before you buy, RUN AWAY.[:0]
