it has something to do with a gun. what kind?
i found this in the bottom of a desk drawer. nothing around it gave me any hints as to what it went to or what it was.
the only thing i can take a stab at would be a pengun?
on the other side are the instructions in 3 languages. it says something about a 'shooting cap.' the stain was the result of what looks like an oily spring laying on it.
any ideas?[?]

I had a toy cannon as a youth that looked like that and as I recall, it had an instruction sheet like that as well. The collet at the back screws into the breech end and the knurled knob is retracted and acts as a striker with the plastic cap on the rod at the other end impacting a solid surface in the chamber. There was a cutout in the white metal casting on the underside to allo the "blast " to be heard. Sure wish I hadn't blown that up trying to use "2 Blackcats in the barrel...I'm sure it would be worth some obscene amount of money now, especially since I destroyed mine!

Looks very similar to a toy ships cannon I played with in my youth.
