I recently bought a P-38 like yours for $240 with spare mag. Paid FFL dealer 10% more plus UPS and sales tax. Overall condition exc plus. Pistol has aluminum metal frame and the same wacky holster. Note that the holster doesn't have any belt slots. Wonder why the inside straps, etc. 0 -
Your belt goes through those "wacky" straps so that when you open the flap, the holster drops down a bit for easier removal.
ADDENDUM: That holster did not come with the pistol from the factory. That is a police holster.

Wow only $240......I found this one on gunbroker and its reserve is $1200.00 ..there are 3 bids @ $565. Exactly the same as mine but mine looks to be in better condition and yes that is a German Police issue holster. Any idea on the price of the holster or are they common?

The holsters are worth whatever you can get for them. Usually it's a song because no one know how they work unless I explain it to them.
Now everyone on GB will know.
