glock sight question
I have a set of Tritium night sights for a Glock 22 up for auction. I've had a couple of questions from potential bidders about whether or not these sights will fit any other Glock models. I have no idea on this. The sights have no markings, but I believe they came as a 2nd set of sights with the gun when new. I bought it used, and was told they came with the gun new. When I traded it for my 9mm hi power, I forgot to include the night sights. Now I have them up for sale as I don't need them.

I have a Glock 17 that I purchased in 1994. Until recently I had night sights installed on it, but a couple weeks ago I had the original factory sights re-installed.
I noticed that the front sight won't stay on the slide at all. The little pin that is supposed to hold the front sight in place is there, but with just a flick of the fingernail the front sight comes right off. The sights were re-installed by a Glock armourer.
My question is, are Glock factory front sights basically no good after having been removed? Do I need to find a set of new sights and have them installed?

To my knowledge, your sights should fit on other Glocks of the same frame and perhaps more.
What are yuo asking fot the tritium sights and WHY would you trade a Glock for a 9mm HP?0 -
Myles, The sights should fit ANY of the Glock pistols. The large and small frame guns all use the same sights.
The only variation is on the stock rear sights with a + or - on the side to indicate a raising or lowering from the median position.

I traded the Glock for a Charles Daly HiPower 9mm. I have a Walther P99 .40S&W and liked the way it shoots better. I had a Glock 26 and loved it, but unfortunetly, I had to give it up a few years ago. I was disappointed in the feel of the Glock 22 compared to the Glock 26. I also decided I didn't need 2 pistols of the same caliber. I had been looking at SA XD9 subcompact, but decided to go with the HiPower as the P99 is a somewhat similar design to the XD/Glocks. Just personal preference.
