Hello Tasco made a number of different models Is your compartment sized to take a flat battery the size of a quarter or is it long so it would be about the size of a "AA" cut in half? 0 -
I've got the Pro Point 3 and it uses 2 quarter size batteries. Battery number is CR2032

If a Pro Point of 30mm (tube size not lens) it would be a PDP3.
There will be a large serratted knob that turns. That is the ON/OFF dial, and battery compartment which also sets the brightness.
The knob top unscrews, you'll usually find a slot.
Batteries that fit are CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032. They're the same voltage just different capacity, with the 2032 being the longest lasting.
Be sure to carefully, and correctly clean the contacts. The batteries 'gas', and since it's a sealed compartment they can put deposits on the contacts which act as insulators vs conductors.
