    I had one of these in my hands some years ago. It was made by a name like Richards, or Richardson, or something very similar to that. Never could figure what it could be used for.

    Before you fire it make sure it's not a flare gun, which the tolorences would be less than a device manufactured for a shotgun round. I might have made that mistake once loooooong ago.

    There were similar items home made and used in the Phillipines during the Japanese occupation.The plan was to suddenly jump out of the bushes as a Jap was going by, shoot him from about 2 ft away, and disappear. They would fire a 12 ga round.

    I don't remember the details but apparently it was a cheapo Zip-type gun designed to operate exactly as described above built for use by the resistance use during (I think) the second world war.

    Then, afterwards some GI built them here in the USA and marketed them as a cheap/nostalgia type gun, the "Gorilla" (Guerilla) gun.
