Remington 40X
I ended up with a 40x in 6mm and a stainless barrel. It is topped with a 25 power lyman super target spot. The gun is clean and seems unmodifed. What would the apx. value of this rig be?

Are the remington 40x single shot 22 rimfire and 22 cal centerfire actions the same? I realize the bolt face would be different 0 -
I think your best bet would be to call Rem's custom shop. As They are made to order only. Then they can narrow it down to which model of 40X you are looking for. IE Range Master Rim fire, center fire, Barrel type, cal. etc.
Hope that helps-

just out of curiosity,..why those 2 years?

Justin- Was going to ask the same, the only thing I can figure out (I think) that was the first years of the Rem 40x. But don't know for sure what year the 40X made it's first appearance.
For some reason I keep thinking it was Remington's answer to the Winchester model 52 Target.
I am suffering from brain fade at the moment [:D][;)]

Hello FrancF the answer to winchester 52 was the model 37 makes 52 look like a KIE and rem 37 look LIKE a B.M.W. 0 -
Was the Rem. model 37 a rimfire only, target model? or was it offered in factory centerfire as well?
Humble, don't know [:)]
