full auto beretta 92 fs

ok, i seen it in movies, someone on GB said they shot one, i read somewhere to go full auto all you need is a drop in kit. is it worth it ? is the 92fs strong enough to handle full auto and where can i get a drop in kit. and is th batf rules the same $200 and all the paperwork? or is this a pipe dream ?

    If I'm not mistaken the full auto beretta pistols are pretty heavily modified from the standard 92FS. I think it was called the Beretta 93R and it wasn't full auto but had 3 shot burst.

    I was the one who shot the Full auto Beretta. I dont know if it had a different model number but it looked just like a 92 but had a selector switch on the upper right side of the slide. I have not had a chanced to shoot one yet but I think I would like a G18 better (I like Glocks). The 92 had a 20rd mag and it was Full auto (not burst). It was fun to hang on to but not bad. A little bit of trigger time I think you could do pretty well.

    As far as anyone private being able to own them no go [V]. After 1986 no new machineguns are able to be built for private sale. Since the Beretta and Glock are both made after that you are out of luck.

    Depending on the state you live in (ex: I live in Wisconsin and all you need is a Tax stamp and some local officals signature and you will be able to buy a full auto gun.) If you live in a state where this is legal you would have to find someone that sells the full auto kit with its own serial number. If you have more question check out www.lauerweaponry.com. they would be able to help you out I think.

    Well you are close to right MJ. If it is a transferable machinegun you are correct, you go get your CLEO signature and do you Form 4 through your C3 dealer. There have been no transferable machineguns made since 1986 because of a change in the law.

    that would be nice, but i think that would make it an AOW, which is only a $5 tax, but prolly not worth the trouble. I say this because a pistol with a vertical foregrip is considered an AOW... or so I thought(correct me if I'm wrong). Not sure if that diagonal/horizontal moveable foregrip would be considered a "vertical" foregrip though.
