Aguila Ammunition
Hello,
Is Aguila brand ammo any good? I'm fascinated by the idea of a cast alluminum bullet but don't exactly know why. I have bought many a gun for that very reason.
Is there any benifit to aquila ammo over other brands of jhp ammo? Does anybody have any experience with it?
Thanks.

I have used Aguila ammo in several calibers. It is good quality.

That is the only brand of ammo that I could get to run consistently in that POS 10-22 that I just got rid of.

Their .22 Sniper Sub Sonic is awesome stuff. Sounds like a loud pellet gun and really hits hard.

Aluminum bullet? Are you addressing the IQ round? Their other ammo runs just fine in all my stuff, did you hear something about aluminum bullets being different in some way, or were you just curious as to whether or not Aguila made safe ammo?

i use the IQ 117gr bullett for on of my 45ACP's it's faster smoother shootingmore expensive than 230gr ball ammo some people on here criticized me for following fads......if it works with it ......and it works with your gun use it for you and your comfortable range 0 -

I've shot the Colibri powderless .22 stuff, it works as advertised. The .32 LC works well in a Nagant revolver.

I've found the SE .22LR to be some of the most accurate ammo in any .22 rifle or pistol I have shot it in. Plus, it is usually cheap, I get it from a guy at the gunshows for $1.35 for a box of 50. 0 -
Barrel of fun to shoot! I use the .22 plinking cans off the back deck and the neighbors think it is a bb gun. 0 -
i came across some of their 12 ga minishells one time. they worked really well. bought it on a whim, but i was pretty impressed. 0 -
I use the SSS (Super Sub Sonic) in all my "Suppressed" 22's
both pistol and rifle.
It's great.
Maybe a little "dirtier" than some.
BUT, and this is a "Costly" But.
To get the maximum accuracy out of the SSS, it reguires a
1 in 9 twist.
So, have converted any of my Suppressed 22 rifles to this rate
of twist and so I'm pretty much stuck using it and it only;
as other ammo will not work as well in the 1 in 9.
Unbelievable though, even with me shooting.
I've wondered just how tight the groups would be with
somebody that's a good shot.
