Starfire Mod. 30MI Interarms

My work (police dept) is selling off their old confiscated weapons, and in the collection is a great lookng Starfire Mod. 30 Mi 9mm. My question is.. will this pistol fire only with the mag in place, or without? The hammer is cocked back, but it will not dry fire. I could probley pick this up for around $20.00 but if it is crap I would rather buy $20.00 worth of ammo. The mag is no where to be found, but one could probley be picked up on the net somewhere. I appologize for the inaccurate spelling. Thanks in advance for the information, any wil help!

    The Star 30M had a magazine disconnect safety. Without the magazine in place it will not fire. I have sold many of the Star 30M pistols over the years. They are actually a very well made gun. As for the magazine, I have those available.

    I have one of the Star's you described. Although discontinued, they were/are a quality gun. I paid slightly under$200 for mine and feel I got a bargain. Get you a magazine and have fun. Congratulations on your find.
