Never shot one, they might be OK. I say spend a little more and get the Ruger. I've put about three cases of LR and probably four or five bricks of magnum through mine and never had a problem. Its still as accurate as the day I got it. 0 -

I owned one of the Heritage combo 22LR/22Mag several years ago. I paid around $120 for it new. The only gripe I had with it was the safety, it has a hammer block that is thumb operated on the left of the hammer allowing you to load 6 rounds without worry(at least they use to, they may have upgraded by now). The safty worked, but was unnatural. As far as shooting, was a decent shooter, never any malfunctions, and ok accuracy. The fixed sights were well regulated, not a bad gun, not fancy but nothing wrong with it either. I found I liked carrying it fishing with the hammer on a empty chamber rather than messing with the safety.
