Updating my Mak-90...with your input
Hello from sunny Florida [8D],
Well, I searched the "Ask the Experts" records and I don't belong to an AK chat....sooooo, I have come you ya'll to help me with this Mak-90 stuff. I have a stamped version and fing the thumbhole stock to be butt-ugly in my eyes. I want to change it over to a pistol grip and I know that rules still apply to the number of US made parts.
Here's the question: I have been all over the web for a "simple" answer. How many US parts are still needed to convert the Mak to a pistol grip and; where can I find a selection of NON thumbhole stocks that will fit the Mak's slanted receiver end???
All I would REALLY like to do is find an OD green solid poly stock and forearm and I want to mount the SAW sttle pistol grip.

The top sticky explains the US parts count.
Try a search here at GB for your stock set. You could also try K-VAR, they have a large selection of ak stocks and sets. Good luck with the new project.
