question on MP5A2/4

just got an MP5A2/4 9mm was curious about the sling mounting points..course there is a buttstock point and an eylet on the barrel but also a small attachment point left side of magwell is this also a sling attachment point or does it sure a different purpose??seems if i attached my three point sling there it would interfer with my dual mag setup..maybe just use the front lug..any input would be great
