AK-47 Wasr 10 Rifle,762 x 39 * good or bad?
I'm thinking about buying a AK-47 Wasr 10 Rifle,7.62x39 , this one will not accept hi-cap mags, other than that is there any pros or cons I need to know before I spend 300 bucks?

I think that is a bit high, you can get one that accepts hi-cap mags for that.
I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.0 -

The magazine well is too narrow to accept the double stack high cap mags. It can only accept the single stack mags of which are usually 5 or 10 round mags. This was done as a result of Clinton's so called assault weapons ban which has expired due to millions of dollars and thousands of hours of work on the part of pro-gun groups and individuals.

WASR-10s are junktastic. Buy a SAR-1 and you'll be much happier.

Do you have pride in the other weapons you own?
Do you enjoy cleaning them?
Do you like it when someone notices that you have a fine weapon in your hands?
Then do not buy the WASR10. Fit and finish sucks. If you want a nice AK then I suggest doing your home work. Also check into pre ban types. They require a US parts count to be leagally modified. Do lots of searches on the subject. You have too many choices to make a hasty decision.

I would stay away from the single stack Wasr10, the double stack ones are ok though. Regular AK mags are cheap! $6 to $20 each depending where you look. I bought a really used rusty WASR10 highcap off a guy cheap. Knocked the rust off, repainted it, cleaned up the magwell, and added a folding stock to it and now it works.
I wouldn't waste my time on a single stack one though, especially at that price!!!

my 2 cents is if buying a sunset rifle , please be carefull , because of the manufacters quality gunsmiths, we had a couple come through the shop with the brakes crossthreaded and the brake was crooked , and who ever put them on had metal filings pushed all the way back to the sight post after cross threading the brake , and also you could tell where they choked the rifle up to the lathe because they torqe it up to much ,trying to put on their cross threaded brake , they warped the rifle

I bought a WASR that took double stack mags new, and the first time I went to the range my lower forestock broke, and a few times later the top one did to. The wood is junk on these things. You would be better off to buy a good set of synthetics or a decent set of wood stocks. I got a set off a hungarian AK and put a metal vented upper forend on it like the ones on the new .30 carbines. Works good now, just pissed me off that a new gun breaks after 40 rounds. 0 -
i look at a wasr 10 and as the others have said very poor quality if compared to a romainian(sp) fit and finish is terrible finish looks like black spray paint stocks are real chunky and ackward feeling atleast in my hands try to find sar-1 have you looked on southern ohio guns international they had the better ak's for not much more money not to long ago http://www.southernohiogun.com/ is the web site

uhh, i bought a hi-cap WASR-10 and i have put nearly 5,000 rounds through it without a single malfunction. yeah sure, i had to refinish the wood, but i think the finish is fine, mine is not painted and it is holding up pretty well, nowadays you can probably get a new WASR-10 hi-cap with the bayonet lug (in my opinion a fine rifle for the price) for around $300 brand new. i dont think anyone can argue that this is not a good buy for someone looking for an AK but not wanting to spend alot. but dont buy the lo-cap rifle, there is NO point. get a high cap. 0
