Kimber Ultra CDP ???
I recently purchased a used kimber...this is an "ULTRA CDP", not the CDP II. I'm having a hard time finding any info. on this model ??
Is the mag a 6 or 7 round ? I can get 6 rounds in it with ease, but looks like it should accept 1 more. I had the eclipse ultra II, which is the same size with 7-round mag. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The Ultra CDP holds 7 in the magazine, I have had the gun since it came out and love it!

I just read some info. on the Kimber website, looks like the "Ultra CDP" came out in '2000, and has a 6 round mag. I think that the mag is defective if infact it is supposed to hold 7-rounds, but it feeds just fine!

I just found out that the "Ultra CDP" did come out between '99 & '2000, the plain Ultra CDP does have a 6-round mag, the only difference in the CDP & CDP II is the CDP II's came out in '2001 with a new firing pin safety system. From '2001 to present, all Kimber are now series II.

I have one of the original Ultra CDP's that I got back in early 2000. It came with a six round mag. I've heard that the six round mags were supposed to be more reliable than the seven round mags, but I haven't experienced any problems with the seven round mags, so I really comment on differences in reliability. 0 -
Just shot for CCW with mine. Had one out of the 10 ring. I got a little cocky with the repid fire. Best three inches I ever carried. 0
