I'm asking this question for my dad. He has a Springfield Model 15 .22 bolt action rifle. Can't find a serial #, but there are 3 patent #'s. They are 2173576, 2223093, 2230372. My dad is interested in an approximate age, value, and any history you may be able to provide. This item has been handed down thru the family and it means a lot to him. Thank you for any help you can provide.

1948-1965...No Serial Numbers issued...Have been told by several knowledgable people that some of the Stevens/Springfields were numbered....But, I've yet to see one....My 1st .22 was a Model 15..recently gave it to My Grandson....No Serial Numbers on Rifle!
