22/250 H Wakeman

Ihave recently purchased a 22/250 rifle with a bull barrel and a smooth monte carlo stock [No checkering]. The only marking on the gun are 22/250 and the name H. Wakeman. Any info on this man or the value of the gun would be very appreciated. the weapon is extremely accurate.
