Can case colors be redone?

Yes case colors can be redone, but the receiver on this gun appears original.

That is a cyanide-bath hardening and was a factory process. Very very few outside shops use cyanide; bone/charcoal is safer and produces a more aesthetically appealing color. The cost to redo the receiver alone would be well over $200.

As for the trigger guard, several of those models had plastic guards. Might use the 'Ask Seller a Question' feature on that one.

I have a 22-410 of nearly identical age. the receiver is just as nice as that one, blue similar, wood rough, and no finish left on the trigger guard. The savage case colors of that age are tough.
