Sporting Clay Shooting Techniques

Am looking for books, tapes, web-sources for sporting clay shooting techniques/methods. Would appreciate thoughts on various techniques, plus'/minus'.

    go to a book website like amazon.com and plug in : "trap and skeet shooting", art blatt, dbi books inc, northfield, ill., 1984. im sure its been updated, but i just have the 1st edition. this book is the best there is. also too, go to the NSSA and ATA websites. they can steer you!

    My suggestion is to subscribe to sporting clays magazine, there are always help topics and good info in there. But after what I would consider a successfull career in Sporting Clays shooting, I learned that the only place to hone your skills is the range. About the only thing books will do is teach you the names of the techniques that you are already practicing. Sustained lead, spot shooting, swing through... If you have trouble with leads the magazine always has good advice on where to shoot different targets.

    Thanks all for the advice... The Sporting Clays magazine is on its way...
    Have been shooting clays for about a year and have just taken a lesson from Wendell Cherry... Figured that I'll do my home work plus start shooting the grid... Plus wanted to read about what it is I'm doing... My shotguns are fine, I just have "headspace and timing" issues...

    I was told to look for a book by James Russell called Trap Shooting Secrets.I have not bought it yet , maybe after duck season is over.

    And this has come to pass,not to stay.
