Sig P226 20 rnd mags

Can anyone tell me how many Factory, not aftermarket, 20 round magazines were made? I have heard 500 or so. I'd just like some other opinions.

    I dont know the correct number of 20 rounders made, but 500 seems like a low number. If they tooled up to make them one would think they would produce a lot more than 500.

    If it was 500 I must be lucky as I have one of the factory 20 rounders. It fits my P228 just fine since the 228 is just a shorter version of the 226.

    I have two of the 20-round SIG P226 factory magazines, and do not recall that I had to do much to get them a dozen years ago or so. I am sure many more than 500 were made.
