DOM S&W Model 18

Picked up a Model 18 Smith. I would like to know date of manufacture. Ser 1K7912
I have a brochure that I bought from another source that has the price list for parts dated 1967
Wondering if I could put that in the box with the revolver.

  Per s/n info. the year of mfg. was 1970 for a more precise DOM you'll need to contact S&W for a factory letter which will run you $30.
  
  As for the parts list ... sure keep it with the revolver. It's a little earlier in time but I think you'll find that most if not all of the info. is good for your newer gun.

  There were no changes on the Model 18 from 1967 to 1977
  A 1967 is a 18-3 and a 1977 18-4
