Chrome Colt Custom 38 Super
My father passed away last June. I was given his chrome Colt Custom Super 38. Not that I want to get rid of it, but can anyone tell me the value of it as well as any other info on it? What year was it made?
It's all chrome with pearl Colt grips. It says "COLT CUSTOM" on one side of the slide, but nothing on the other side of the slide. The barrel says "COLT SUPER 38 AUTO". It has serial number ELCEN07## on it.
Thanks!

hello i think you will find that it is nickle finish and made after 1982 from 1971 up untill 1982 all 38 supers were serial 70sxxxxxxxx 0 -
No, the serial # is actually ELCEN0750. So does that mean it was made after 1982? Normally the later 1911's are model 70 or 80. This one has nothing on it stating either of these. It's blank!
I'm sure the finish is Nickel though, but damn it look like chrome!
Any idea on the value?

Colt Custom Shop production for Lew Horton Distributing. They made about 20 different variants throughout the 90's. El Cenador, El Teniente, El Jefe Supremo, etc etc.
