Hello Bob I have a Bushnell COMMAND Post SCOPECHIEF 3-9 I love it but getting to old to hunt much might part with it .This model has cross hairs and a ring that turns to change reticule to a post.

I am not sure if this is what you are loking for but some time ago I had a Weatherby scope with a thin horizontal hair and a post-type vertical hair. It was a 3-9. As I recall they weren't actually made by Weatherby but contracted to Zeiss and another company in Japan. Maybe they were good for their time, but optically they can't compare to my Leupolds.

Not only involed in the optics busniess, have been a collector for for years, specializing in Bausch & Lomb, military ranging systems, mounts, collapsable telescopes, and oddity-one of a kind items.

Back in it's day, Bausch & Lonb-Bushnell was Americas best optics, with Weaver having the best adjusting system, and competing for first place went back and forth.
    Have things changed.

The word Scope Chief is a play on words name. Think of the meanings of the word Chief.
When the Scope Chief was intro'd it was the only scope to have a dual duplex reticle that was adjustable, and very good optics.
    Smart idea!!!!!
Got too expensive to make, and suffered from ignorant shooters who thought that it was the problem anytime they couldn't shot one hole groups, or hit the game animal being shot at.
Well,...the blame game still hasn't changed much.

Compared to today's optics....there is better, but it's still equal to a notch above most entry level models.

Please email me with your price, and the serial number. I have some but if the $$$$ is right, might have one more. Thanks.

    Happy Bullet Holes!
