Tube fed 22lr bolt action

I'm shopping for a retirement gift for a hunting buddy. He has hinted at wanting a tube fed 22lr bolt action. I only know of one on the market - the Marlin 981T. Anyone have another option to suggest?

  That's the only one I know about. I bought one a few years back, and I like it. I spent $25 on a trigger job to improve the trigger, and it shoots very well now. I wish it had a wood stock; that's about the only improvement I can think of.

  Plenty of older model tube feeds out there that will shoot as well as a new one. Might consider a clean used one from the time when he was a kid. -- Don't know of any other new ones out there off the top of my head.................Good Luck.........[8D]

  I have a prewar Savage Model 5 I got at a show for 55.00,and it shoots great.

  Don't leave the Remington "Nylon" 12 out of the mix...
