Whats the difference between .17 M2 and the 17hmr?

17 HMR is a necked down 22mag and the 17 mach2 is a necked down 22lr. I think the ballistics difference is about 225 fps.

Muzzle velocity for the .17HMR is about 2500 fps, HM2 is about 2000 fps.

Use the "Search" option and you will find much information about these two cartridges.
