several ? re 2 old handguns given to me

My grandfather recently passed away and while going thru boxes of his belongings there were 2 guns found which were given to me.

1) how can i find their value, one is a S&W 32 pistol, and the other is a Forehand Arms Co .32 pistol (I never heard of the second company)

2) What is the best way to clean them. They are both stainless steel, and while there doesn't appear to be pitting, the finishes are worn and are in severe need of attention

3) Depending on their worth I was maybe going to get them refinished. I've seen gun blueing kits, but is this possible with stainless guns?

    first ,dont refinish them

    forehands and wadsworth is the companies full name ,and i am assuming they are both top breaks {rear site alows gun to go down with shell ejector poppoing up}

    they go for and "average" of 150.00 each ,and will go for around 50.00 if you refinsh them ,clean them like anyother gun

    You will find that they are not stainless. The finishes available at that time were either blue or nickel. Many here use Blue Wonder, but my cleaner of choice is Flitz.Friendly to both finishes. Available from

    www.brownells .com

    Please do not consider refinishing. Despite current condition refinishing will only lower value and interest.

    You have good advice dant. Don't go even go overboard with the cleaning. Get some pics and let us know when you are about to post on GB. I would be interested in both.

    Is there a website for collectible firearms where I could look up the serial number and find out when they were made?
