    Hmm, 200.00 really limits you.

    I'd say Ruger 10/22.

Look at the NEF single shots. Suprisingly accurate for the modest price...........Good Luck..........[8D]

You can get a NEF (New England Firearms) or Rossi Single Shot rifle new for around 200 to 225, add another 150.00 for a decent scope and you will have one heck of a varmint rig. I'd get atleast a 243win if you plan on hunting coyotes.

I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

Marlin 917M2 Chambered in 17 Mach 2. Gun itself costs $194. Throw a BSA Platinum scope on there and you're at a total of $325 or so.

I notice no one mentioned the Savage rifles, Howa or Charles Daly. Also, there are still some new S&W (Howa) and also the Weatherby Vanguard (also Howa). All but the Weatherby can be found for around the $300 to $350, especially the Savage older style without the Accutrigger. Decide the cartidge of choice and look at gunshows and local dealer racks. The Savage and Howa are both tough to beat without spending a lot more money, and sometimes even that won't out do them. The old Remington 788 was also an inherently good shooter, often besting rifles 3 times the price, but collector/user value has increased of late here, but they still shoot really well.

you can get a heavy barreled New England Firearms for little more than $200.00, they are very accurate with the right ammo and scope setup. in 223 or 243 will take you to 350 yards no problem. just my opinion.

Ruger .22-250 and scope go for a little over $400. Nice rifle...
