They have upgraded the software to make it faster and more stable. Mine works extremely well and quickly. Maybe you'll recalibrate the scale once or twice during a long session,..but that's about it. I load for all my matches on the PACT combo and I get right down the the .1gr every time. I have taken the charge and placed it in my RCBS powder pro scale right next to the PACT,..and they both agree.

They need the warmup time they recommend,..I leave mine turned on all the time. You have to see how the dispenser is going to act with each powder. Sometimes it will throw some powders .1gr heavy and other powders .1gr light,..so once this is established,..I set it for .1gr lighter or heavier depending on how it throws that particular powder. But for most everyone's needs, .1gr variance won't even show up on target.

I am impressed with the speed and accuracy of mine,..YMMV.

why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

Thank you JustC, so when you say you leave yours on all the time, that is just the scale correct? I have my entire set up in the garage and it goes get cold in there. Would that effect it much?

I bought one about a Year ago, And No Problem's yet. At first I didn't like it. To slow, the more I used it the better I like it. Mine is out side in my shop and it get's cold, I go out and turn the heat on about an hr. before I reload and have no problem's, some times I have to rezero it. Time wise it beats the beam scale with the Tickler. I understand the new one's are faster. Good Luck

[8D]Your PACT Powder Scale uses a STRAIN GAGE LOAD CELL that is powered when you turn the unit on, it has to TEMP stabalize for 30 minutes -at the same ambient temperat[8][8][8][:D]ure. If it's in your garage"forget about it " it needs a stable temp!

On your mark-get set- go away!!

yep,..I leave them both on all the time so that the "scale" light is lit on the dispenser (meaning the infrared eye is lined up). I load in my house,..and store all my gear inside. This ensures that all powder and primers, scales, etc are kept at a steady temperature AND humidity level year round. Powders weigh more when they absorb more moisture and less when the air is dryer. By keeping a stable humidity level,.I can be sure I am throwing the same VOLUME of powder,..not just the same weight[8]
