Better open sights for BL-22

I had the same problem with mine and didn't want to put a large scope on it. I installed an old and excellent quality variable powered Weaver .22 scope instead. It has the separate 2 pc. rings so it can be adjusted to fit the BL-22's very short receiver. The small diameter scope tube looks right and works great. The older Weavers had glass optics instead of plastic lens that came on cheaper models. It came off an 1960's Savage/Anschutz I recently bought. The bottom line is my BL-22 shot a 36 round group at 25 yards that can be covered with a quarter. This is one great shooting gun now that I'm using a scope.

i also am interested in the idea of changing the sights on mine i definitely don't want to put a scope on it as i just use it as a plinker and its so much fun with open sights and the lever action hope to hear some other ideas as the flip up sight is terrible best of luck david
