1911 slide and frame

Hello as the first 2 replies stated . custom means many thinks to many people all colt and many other makes of frames are set up for parts interchangabilety. however when you build a match gun the slide is tighten to take up side play to fit the frame you are working with and the frame rails are PEENED to take up the up and down play. If you have a frame and slide that have been reworked any other frame will be a hit or miss to fit your slide and any other slide will be hit or miss to fit your frame.
