Colt Detective .38 Special...Help

I came across a Colt Detective about 5 years and know nothing about this gun. The worth, date made...nothing. Can anyone help we with information on this gun and/or know any books/websites that would? The number is B548XX. Thanks for any help.

  Your # B548XX was made in 1972 and would be a 2nd issue.
  
  Value would depend on condition and would range from $2-400.

  Second link can take a hike... My owners manual on my Colt Detective says it is OK to shoot +P ammo in the STEEL FRAMED REVOLVERS. Early Agent and other aluminum frames NO. Have an authorized Colt dealer check your gun after 2-3K rounds of +P.
