My hunting load for 357 is 158 Swc Gas check bullet on H110. Without the gas check, I think leading may be an issue.

thats about what i was thinking. just making sure i was on the right track. dont load a lot of lead in 357, just came across a really good deal. 0 -
You want to keep the velocity LOW with lead bullets in your 357 Mag. I use 231 powder with a 158 grain LSWC for a light target load.

Keep your loads down to around 1100 fps and you should have no problem with H-110. The H-110 has about the same buring rate as winchester 296, But I think Winchester 231 is to hot for cast bullets, I tried it years ago a got a lot of leading. Good Luck 0 -
I shoot alot of 231 in my 357, 9mm's and never had a lead problem. Now the loads are not top power loads. Keep you rlead slow and you are ok. I shoot h110 in my 357 and 44 for hunting loads. I use jacketed holow points for that. Very impressive power from h110.
