Load for a S&W Mod. 52

I bought a S&W Mod.52. What is a good load for this pistol?

Owning and shooting a M52 I found some interesting things
Nice target pistol, keep it clean and oiled (not WD40)
For a load I used 148 grain Wadcutters and 3.6 grains of RED DOT;
a nice easy clean burning consistent Load.
WARNING: WARNING:
I cast my own with Lyman #2 Alloy -- NOTHING ELSE.
I found terrible Leading problems with commercial cast or swaged bullets
A high Antimony Low Tin Mix.
Possibly Reworked wheel weights. You will only wind up buying a Lewis Lead Remover and doing a lot of Cursing.
If you mix your own alloy and recycle wheel weights do a good job of fluxing and cleaning your product, work in a well ventilated space.

Hello I don't want tell you what to do But please for the safety of your gun and you get a reloading manual just remember that a model 52 must shoot flush to the end of the case full wadcutter bullets.I would never shoot someones loads that were sent in an Email the same way I don't shoot any ones reloads . quote:"PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

These loads are from The "Lyman Handbook of Cast Bullets".This is a very old book copyright July 1958.The load that's used the most is 2.7 grains of Bullseye for the 148 gr. wadcutter bullet Mold #358395.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE GUNS THAT I SHOT FOR YEARS AND PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST ACCURATE 38'S OUT OF BOX THERE IS. MY PREFERRED LOAD LYMAN'S NO. 35863 A 148 GR. WADCUTTER SEATED FLUSH, TAPER CRIMPED TO AROUND .370 WITH 2.8 GR. OF BULLEYE. BACK IN THE 70'S WE ALL GOT TOGETHER FOR A TEST SHOOT OUT. EVERYBODY BROUGHT THEIR TOP GUNS, WE USED A POTTER MACHINE REST. THE MODEL 52 OUT SHOT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT WITH ( LOOKING AT MY NOTES) THE BEST GROUP OF 1.08" AT 50 YDS. AND THIS WAS NOT JUST ONCE, BECAUSE OF DIFFERENT COMPLAINTS WE HAD MANY SHOOT OUTS AFTER THAT AND STILL THE 52 OUT SHOT EVERYTHING AND KEPPING UP WITH A HIGHLY TUNED ACCURIZED 45.<<NOT OUT OF THE BOX. SO YOU HAVE A WEAPON THAT CAN SURGICALLY REMOVE THAT X FROM 50 YARDS. NOW IT'S ALL UP TO YOU.... GREAT GUN HAVE FUN WITH IT..
