where to buy random AR parts

I can't believe this. I just broke my buffer retainer on my AR15. It seized the bolt back inside the buffer tube, and took me forever to get it apart. Now I need to buy a new buffer retainer since it completely sheared, (don't ask me how). Does anybody know a place that sells just random small parts?
I don't want to take it to the gunsmith and have them order a new parts 'cause I know I'll get raped on the price. Am I going to have to buy a kit or something? Thanks a lot guys, much abliged.

    you can find this stuff anywhere that sells gun parts. brownells, any major ar-15 manufacturer. should cost next to nothing. i find myself buying a few extra of everything, just in case dumb crap like this happens[:D]

    Rockriverarms.com RR's parts prices have been lower than any of the "kit companies" I have looked at when it comes to small odds and ends. They had free shipping with a $25 order.

    JT distributing. Call them and tell them what you want and they'll work with you on shipping. They have good stuff and GREAT service (buffer detent is $1.95). You might wanna look at why the original one sheared too. I'd order 2 if I were you and if it happens again go to www.ar15.com and figure out your problem.
