Redfield M-294?

I have a Winchester 94.it has a rear sight attachment of some sort says Redfield M-294 on it,I cant find any info on it at all.Is it a sight or a scope mount?Any help would be appreciated...mike

  The 294 was one of the first intermediate eye relief scopes. It had great optics. The only problem was a small field of view.

  What you have is the mount for the Redfield scope.
