winchester 96 o/u
20 gauge
28"bbl
fixed chokes
gun is rated "excellent"

  DS, my older Blue Book, 19th edition, lists that gun in that condition,say 90%, at around $600. In the small gauge I suspect it's worth more than that, at least $800. However, others may think differently. I've seen the gun referred to as the" poor man's 101".
  It's a good gun.

  the 96 is indeed the next step down from the 101. still, its a fine gun. whats he plan on using it for? for the record, i would use a 96 before any russian shotgun.

  I bought one for $500 and have used it extensively for 20 years on skeet, sporting clays and grouse. Not a single problem. It is a fine gun.
