BROWNING "LOW WALL" BUT THATS A SINGLE SHOT. NEXT WOULD BE A MARLIN M-94.

I would think the Marlin with its solid top would be the better but that just my .02cents worth

I had the m94 and had lots of problems with the magazine follower allowing two rnds to feed causing big log jams. Real pain to field strip and clear. But that was years in the past and that may not be a problem now.

    Thanks for the input...

I was kinda thinkin' Marlin myself. Henry "big boy" not made for hot loads, correct?

The "Big Boy" might be a little weak for really stoked up loads in the brass reciever (I THINK it's brass...my appologies if I am wrong)plus...I just don't like alot of what I've heard about the Henry guns. The Marlin Model '94 is my call all the way!

I think the Ruger lever action is stronger than the Marlin. However,I don't think I would shoot any hot .44 Mag loads in any lever action gun.Just my opinion.

DEFINITELY NO hot loads in the Henry Big Boy.

Either the 44 Magnum 280gr Bonded-Core Soft Point or Corbon 44 Magnum 305gr Flat Point Penetrator. Do not use the Corbon 44 Magnum 320gr Hard-Cast Flat Point, it will not feed. http://mysite.elixirlabs.com/index.php?uid=12665&page=1624
