E.A. Armstong Sword any info?

I am researching a couple of swords- one may be civil war or WW1 - both are marked E.A. Armstrong with a Chicago Il address . I have searched the web and found little info. I know the general population in GB have a vast knoweldge of just about anything to do with military arms ect.....
