Southern California Trap Shooting
I've ran into a bit of a dilema, I'm going to NAS El Centro California for work January through March. I was told I can take my shotgun, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a Trap shooting range within a reasonable distance of El Centro. Thanks, Dan.

el centro is in the middle of nowhere and you want somewhere close?[:p][:p] closest one i know is 'inyekern'(sp) near china lake. maybe even back at mirimar. whew...thats a tuff one for a guy going on a havent been there in 30 year memory. btw...call MWR NAS el centro and see if they have a range! sounds like youve got the winter watch in the desert! if you get to go out on a spotting run, go! man, those hangers are old! and the chowhall is lousy! bring something to stay warm at night in and cool in the day! its desert life! if you are flying in on fat albert, rent a car and take 8 west back to mirimar. its 120 miles, 2 hours cookin. nightlife in elcentro is watching mexicans go to 7/11. or, finding dead ones on the side of the road that walked from mexico across the lake bed.

2 WEEKS is long enough! when i was in F-14's, we use to go there to paint bullets for their target practice. hope you like fod walkdown. when you get weekend time off, just head straight to san diego for r&r. anywhere else is the pits. gun ranges in san diego are down south near the border near otay lakes. 0 -
I'm with you on San Diego, hopefully I can find enough time to burn through a couple hundred rounds a weekend. Dan
