Is this possible, custom made Glock

Hi I am new to the handgun market and have heard of several handgun conversion kits out there. My question is if it would be possible to make or turn a glock 35 which is a 40 cal into a 10mm? I like the longer slide for sighting purposes, the smaller grip that it has, and the cut out in the top for a compensated barrel. I would ideally like a 6 inch hunter barrel that I have seen by some aftermarket manufacturer to use in the 35 slide and it would stick out about a 1/2" or so more than the standard barrel. What would be involved in making something like this work or is it not possible at all? I also wonder is it a matter of just magazine and barrel fit and if it is possible to customize something like this, would it also allow switching from the 10mm to the 40 cal using the original barrel and magazines? I would really like to know if it would be possible and if anyone knows where I could go to get it done. Thanks, Ed

    well i would think that the diameter being the same that you could get a drop in barrell for the conversion...you also might want to think about stepping up your recoil spring..this is supposition though

    One of the coolest things about glocks is that so many of the the parts are interchangeable. So if I was a betting man, I would bet a significant amount of my money that it is possible. But not all of my money.

    I'll put my money on no you shouldn't. Anything is possible if you invest enough time and money but I will say it is not economically feasible. First thing to overcome is the overall length of the 10mm in the magwell. Model 20 mags will not fit the different frame size.
    Now on to problem two. The netal frame rails that are imbedded into the polymer frame and the frame itself are not designed to hold up under the high powered 10mm cartridge. Will it work? Sure, but it will not hold up.

    Now that you have modified the magwell, made custom magazines, Strengthened the frame rails and reinforced the frame, replaced the recoil spring with a custom unit and the custom 10mm barrel with the smaller locking lugs of the 40 cal, you should be ready.

    Just buy 10 tubes of 2 part epoxy, mix it up and shape it into something that looks like a glock, add parts as needed.

    Won't work. Just think about this logically. The overall length of 10mm is significantly greater than the .40s&w. They're built on two totally different frames.

    FWIW, you could probably go the other way without too much difficulty (10mm --> .40s&w) Just by getting a custom barrel and loading your rounds a little longer.
