Trigger job for BAR

I didn't mind the trigger on my BAR until I bought a Rifle Basix trigger for my Marlin .17, and a friend had a trigger job done on his Rem 700. Relative to those two guns, my Browning trigger feels like I'm swinging a barn door open, albeit a well-oiled, smooth barn door. I don't want the pull lightened much, if at all, but the travel is unacceptable. Are there any drop-in trigger kits for this rifle, or would a smith have any problems working it over for me?

Also, any recommendations on a gunsmith in the KC area, or further south, would be appreciated. The two or three I've spoken with don't do them anymore, at least not for walk-in customers.

  YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH STUCK WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT. A 'SMITH CAN LIGHTEN THE PULL SOME, BUT TAKE UP AND OVER TRAVEL ARE NON-ADJUSTABLE. NO AFTER MARKET TRIGGERS AVAILABLE THAT I KNOW OF.
