Has anyone heard of the Browning hi-power chambered for the 7.62x25?

    they made a 7.65MM PARABELLUM (7.65MM LONGUE) for both the SWISS and FRENCH trials, but i dont think either were ever offered commercialy...

    the guns were code numbered 1101, 1102, 1103, and 1104 respectivly

    i am not positive, but FN may have listed there SPORT MODEL "MODEL 3001" or the DELUXE MODEL "MODEL 3101" in the same chambering...

    with something like 61 countries and god knows how many police depts adopted or purchasing these guns, anythings possible...

    Nope...But some were made in .30 Luger[7.65] in the 80's for sale in Europe.
    Don't know the details, just remember reading about them. Some were marked Browning, but most were marked FN.

    The 7.62x25 cartridge is too long for the magazine and action.
    I've seen some in 7.65 Luger for sale in the US.
    I bought a barrel on the internet thinking it would drop in my HiPower but the barrels' outside diameter is smaller than the 9mm barrel and will have to be sleeved up to size.
    Thanks for reminding me of that unfinished project.

    Thanks for the answer. I knew there was Browning Hi-Power handguns chambered for some odd 7. somthing round that were distributed in the mid 80's but I couldn't remember exactly what the round was. Thanks again for the answer[:)]
